A tribe in africa:
In africa it’s hard for the people to be able to access clean water, water is a need that they need and that the people desperately lack. In able to be able to have water a well is a good solution for the people. The first thing you must do to create a well is to find a tribe/community that is in need of one. A tribe I found that is looking for donations is the Bushmen tribe. They contain of 100,000 people, all these people are scattered throughout Botswana, Namibia, South Africa and Angola. The people have gone through insanely unbelievable chase outs by their own government due to the fact that their were diamond findings in the land that they lived on. The first one was in 1997 then in 2002 and the last one was in 2005. Everyone’s homes were demolished, the schools became closed and their water supply that they depended on was ruined. After they were chased out of their land where they fled to outside the reserve and they created their own camps. The government there does not allow them to hunt which is a problem due to the fact that they must eat. Which brings us to a problem of sending materials and workers to make a well. Because the government are totally against their own people. So trying to connect the supplies needed to even get over there is a bump in the road. What we would have to do is first get the authorization of the government to put a well in. Which would be a little easier then it was a while ago because there has been multiple court visits, complaining about how the people should be able to safely return to their homes. There has been court cases where many times there were denied but in 2006 they made history and the judge decided it was unfair that they couldn’t visit their own land, so they were able to make it back, there for they were able to spread the word that they are in need of supplies to get their society back up and running. The next step would be to find the donations and support to get the money and supplies of a well. Then we would need employes, someone who is able to import a well and knows how to do it.
COST
Hand-dug well with hand pump: $5,000 serving 500 people = $10/beneficiary.
QUESTIONS
Where are we gonna find volunteers?
How will we transport the equipment?
How do we gain contact with the tribe?

REFLECTION:
If we had more time to keep working on this project and a larger budget I wish we could have mad it look more professional, I think the product worked out great but if it was more organized and attractive to the eye I feel like it would have drown more attention to the people who walked around and we would've gotten more great comments and attention. I think it was great getting to work with Tyler and Michael because they were always so dedicated to the project and put so much time in and I'm just really glad that in the end we accomplished what we needed to get done, which is huge because some groups weren't able to get their own prototype running but we did which was awesome.
